IN MEMORY OF
Moreau owned and operated T-Jim's Grocery & Market
until his passing on November 27, 2019 (at the age
of 81). Upon meeting him many years ago, I knew, by
his demeanor, his Joie de vivre, and his cooking
skills he was the real deal. While on Navy Bootcamp
leave in 1964, my Dad, Mr. Pega, and I took a road
thru the Parish. Our last stop was at T-Jims
grocery to purchase our Ď$10.00í supply of boudin
and cracklings. We were greeted at the front door
by Mr. T-Jim. It was indeed the highlight of our
day. To this day as I keep in touch with my
Cottonport Bandit Buddies, yes JJJ you; T-Jimís
continues to serve good Cajun food and hospitably.
T-Jim was the most authentic
Cajun I have ever met.
